Communication Connections
The MagnaTran 7 offers several methods of communication and operator interaction.
•
Serial Control
: The MagnaTran 7 robot is capable of RS-232 or RS-422 commu-
nications with the host controller or with peripheral devices.
•
Control/Display Module
: The MagnaTran 7 has a Control/Display Module
(CDM) allowing monitoring of robot functions and user control through RS-
232.
•
Discrete I/O Communication
: In addition, the robot is capable of communica-
tions with discrete I/O devices using open collector type inputs and outputs
for interlocks or DIO Control of the robot.
