The following example redistributes static routes into OSPFv3 on a device.

The following example redistributes connected routes into OSPFv3 on a device and specifies a route map.

device# configure terminal

device(config)# ipv6 router ospf

device(config-ospf6-router)# redistribute connected route-map rmap1

Modifying SPF timers

The Shortest Path First (SPF) delay and hold time can be modified.

1. Enter the

configure terminal

command to access global configuration mode.

device# configure terminal

2. Enter the

ipv6 router ospf

command to enter OSPFv3 router configuration mode and enable OSPFv3 globally.

device(config)# ipv6 router ospf

3. Enter the

timers

command with the

spf

parameter.

device(config-ospf6-router)# timers spf 10 20

The SPF delay is changed to 10 seconds and the SPF hold time is changed to 20 seconds.

The following example changes the SPF delay and hold time.

device# configure terminal

device(config)# ipv6 router ospf

device(config-ospf6-router)# timers spf 10 20

Configuring the OSPFv3 LSA pacing interval

The interval between OSPFv3 LSA refreshes can be modified.

1. Enter the

configure terminal

command to access global configuration mode.

device# configure terminal

2. Enter the

ipv6 router ospf

command to enter OSPFv3 router configuration mode and enable OSPFv3 globally.
