Monitoring the Device
The LEDs on the device indicate system activity and status. The power-on self-test (POST) performs diagnostic tests
every time the device is powered on, rebooted, or reset.
This device is engineered for high reliability, high availability, and enhanced serviceability (RAS) and requires no routine
operational steps or maintenance. This chapter provides information about determining the status of each component
using LEDs and CLI commands. Refer to the
Brocade Fabric OS Web Tools Administration Guide
and the
Brocade Fabric
OS Administration Guide
for additional information.
Interpreting FC32-48 Port Blade LEDs
See the following figure and table to interpret the LED patterns for the FC32-48 blade. The LED patterns temporarily
change during POST and other diagnostic tests.

Ensure that the blade is firmly
seated, with ejectors pushed in fully
to center of blade and captive screw
for each ejector fully tightened.
No light (LED is off)
Blade is either healthy or does not
have power.
Verify that the power LED is on.
Status
Steady amber
Blade is faulty.
Ensure that the blade is firmly
seated and check the status by
entering the
slotShow
command.
If LED remains amber, consult the
device supplier.
