Lost IP Address

The utility “LAN Scan” can be used to find any device irrespective of its IP address. This can be

helpful in determining the IP address of a Bridgeworks device with an unknown IP address and for
checking the number of Bridgeworks devices on a network.

Downloading LAN Scan

The utility can be downloaded from:

http://www.4bridgeworks.com/support/download-firmware/

LAN Scan may also be provided on the CD accompanying your FCSAS102800.

Using LAN Scan

LAN Scan is a command line utility available for Windows.

The downloaded file is in .zip format and contains the files

lanscan.exe

and

lanscan.bat

To launch LAN Scan, double click on

lanscan.bat

. This will create a file named

lanscan.txt

. Open

lanscan.txt

within a text editor to view the discovered Bridgeworks devices as shown:
