Breuer Chair Seat and Back Assembly Instructions
(2 person assembly required)
Please read instructions in its entirety before you begin the assembly process. Replacement parts will not be provided if assembled
incorrectly****.
When assembling your new chair or replacing your old seat and back,
AWAYS INSTALL THE BACK FIRST
before installing the seat.
Instructions for Attaching Breuer Back
1.
If replacing an old back, place old back in front of the new back and use a pencil to mark the
placement of your holes (make sure both backs are properly aligned). Using pencil marks you can
now use old hardware to center and attach back. Start with left side and move to right side.
2.
If installing a new back (for Side Chair), use predrilled holes for easy installation.
PLEASE NOTE: Arm Chair Back can only be installed at one height (no height adjustment).
4.
Arm Chair: Attach top left
screw on backrest with pre-drilled
hole.
Then move to top right screw.
Tighten screws all the way and then
bottom holes will be centered. You
can now do bottom holes (there are
no pre-drilled holes here). Your new
Breuer replacement back is ready to
use.
Instructions for Attaching
Breuer Seat
1.
Place your seat upside
down (as shown in diagram) on
a flat surface (edge of table).
Position your side chair frame
over predrilled holes. Start with
the left side and attach 2 screws
and then move to right side.
On right side
someone will
need to assist in
flexing frame
(sometimes
with force) to
center over
predrilled holes.
3.
Side Chair: Place the
back against the frame, screw in
the top hole first and then the
bottom hole on either side. (Do
not tighten screws until both
screws are in half way).
Once tightened move to the
other side to attach two
remaining screws. First start
with top and then move to the
bottom to keep your back
leveled with screws aligned in
center as possible. Note: You
will need to pull/adjust the top
two metal posts towards each
other as needed. (Caution: Do
not over tighten screws)
