How to Use the Vivo 45

Vivo 45 User Manual

When installed, the Vivo 45 automatically detects the sensor, also after
powering off/on or after power failure

 Zeroing

CO

2 

zeroing is recommended when changing the airway adapter. Besides

from that, zeroing only needs to be performed when an offset in moni-
tored CO

2

 values is observed, or when a CO

2

 sensor accuracy unspeci-

fied message is displayed. 

Maintenance

No periodical maintenance is required for the CO

2

 sensor.

To verify the CO

2

 sensor readings, a gas span check shall be performed

every year, preferably when the Vivo 45 is sent for service.

Make sure to position the CO

2

 

sensor with the LED pointing 
upwards.

The CO

2

 sensor is not intended to be in contact with the patient body.
