ESCRIPTION
Definition
A Low Expired Tidal Volume alarm will be given
when the monitored Expired Tidal Volume fails
to reach the set limit for the Low Expired Tidal
Volume alarm for 15 ±0.5 seconds.
Priority
High
Possible cause
• Mismatch between Expired Tidal Volume and
Alarm setting.
• Changes in airway resistance and or compli-
ance.
• Leakage around the mask or within one of the
components of the circuit.
Setting min
Off, 100 ml (Adult), Off, 20 ml (Paediatric)
Setting max
500 ml (Adult), 300 ml (Paediatric)
Setting resolution
10 below 600 ml, 100 above 600 ml
Ventilator action
The Vivo 45 will continue treatment with the
same settings.
