turn off the appliance and do not
attempt to repair. If a repair is required,
contact a Technical Assistance Service
authorised by the manufacturer and
request the use of original spare parts.
•
If the cable for this appliance is
damaged, contact an authorised
Technical Assistance Service for it to be
replaced.
•
Do not leave the appliance exposed to
the elements (rain, sun, ice, etc.).
•
Do not use or let any part of the
appliance come into contact or near hot
surfaces (kitchen gas or electric hobs or
ovens).
•
Do not use detergents or abrasive
sponges to clean the appliance.
•
Do not touch the hot surfaces. Use the
handles.
•
Do not let the cable come into contact
with the hot parts of the appliance.
•
Do not put the heating element, cable
or plug into water or any other liquid.
•
Hot oil can cause severe burns. The
appliance is hot during use and will
remain so for some time once it has
been switched off. Do not touch the
hot surfaces such as the bowl; use the
handles.
•
When the appliance is in use it will
generate very high temperatures and
the necessary precautions must be
taken in order to prevent the risk of
burns, fire and any other damage to
persons or property.
•
Do not move the appliance while it is in
use or while the oil is cooling.
•
Wet food must be dried before frying.
Remove any loose pieces of ice from
frozen food.
•
Beware of splashing when putting food
into the oil.
•
The oil in the bowl must always be
above the minimum level. Never use
the appliance without oil or with an
insufficient amount in the bowl.
•
Make sure that there are no flammable
objects near or on the appliance. If the
oil catches fire, switch the appliance off
and close the lid. Never use water to
extinguish the fire.
•
Unplug the appliance when you are
not using it and before performing any
maintenance or cleaning operation.
•
Do not leave the appliance on whilst
unattended. Switch it off whilst
unattended even if only for a short
period of time.
•
Leave the oil to cool down before
cleaning and storing the appliance.
•
Do not add salt or spices to the oil
while frying.
4. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Clean the fryer before using it for the first
time, following the cleaning instructions
indicated.

Open the lid

Lift the basket

out of the fryer. Place
the basket handle

in the working
position. To do this, turn the handle
towards the outside of the basket and
press it against the catch until it is
properly secured
(fig. 2)

Pour the frying oil into the bowl
(5)
until it is between the MIN and MAX
levels shown in the bowl (maximum
approximately 3.5 litres). The oil must
always be above the MIN level.

Close the lid

and plug in the appliance.
6.
Turn the fryer on by turning the switch
(9)
to the ON position. The red indicator
light
(10)
will come on to show that the
appliance is connected to the power.
7.
Turn the thermostat
(7)
to the desired
temperature, depending on the food you
are cooking (use the chart for guidance,
point 5). The element will heat the oil.
8.
When the fryer reaches the selected
temperature, the green indicator light
(8)
will come on and the power supplied to
the element will turn off automatically. The
fryer is now ready. When the temperature
of the oil drops (for example when adding
cold food), the element will come on
again, the pilot light will switch off and
the oil will begin to heat up again until it
reaches the selected temperature.
9.
Open the lid and slowly put the basket

with the food slowly into the oil. Close the
lid.
