Vario Reference Arm (Mayfield Headholder)

Introduction

The 

Vario Reference Arm (Mayfield Headholder)

 (52001) creates a flexible and extended

attachment of the 

Standard Cranial Reference Array

 onto the Mayfield Modified Skull Clamp.

To position the array, turn the central tension handle

 to the desired position and securely re-tighten the handle by turning it

clockwise

Loosening the Arm

Warning

Do not grip the Vario Reference Arm (Mayfield Headholder) at the ball joints while the
central tension handle is unfastened as you could injure your fingers.

Warning

Never loosen the central tension handle without gripping the articulated arm with your
other hand. The Vario Reference Arm could fall on the patient.

Warning

Loosen the mechanism by turning the central tension handle counterclockwise until it
stops and avoid using any additional force. Hold the articulated arm firmly with one hand
