The gain setting adjusts the sensed S-ECG signal sensitivity. It may be manually selected via the 

Select Gain slider switch (Figure 46).

1x Gain (± 4 mV): 

1x Gain should be selected when the signal amplitude is large 

enough to cause clipping when the 2x gain is selected.

• 

2x Gain (± 2 mV): 

2x Gain should be selected when the signal amplitude is small 

enough to allow use of a more sensitive setting without causing 

clipping of the captured signal. The 2x gain selection amplifies 

the signal twice as much as the 1x gain selection.
