Assembly Instructions
Please refer to directions for use for intended use statement, relevant warnings, precautions, side effects and contraindications of the device.
A) Connect to a Nitinol Basket
STEP 1
To secure the retrieval device onto
LithoVue Empower Device, the basket
must be in the full open position by
sliding the handle back completely.
STEP 2
Pick up the LithoVue Empower
Device and hold down the trigger.
STEP 3
Snap your Boston Scientific retrieval
device into LithoVue Empower
Device by matching the blue
ridge on the handle to the blue
indentation on LithoVue Empower
Device. The handle will snap into
place when secured correctly.
STEP 4
To connect LithoVue Empower Device
to your LithoVue Ureteroscope,
align the pin with the D/U
markers on the ureteroscope.
This side must be attached first for
the device to function properly. When
aligned correctly, pressing down
will snap the device into place.
STEP 5
Verify that your final assembly
matches the above image.
STEP 6
Feed the basket through your scope
adaptor. Ensure the adaptor is
completely open before feeding your
device through or use an introducer.
Please note that if you are using an
adaptor other than a tuohy borst
style adaptor, you MUST use an
introducer to insert the basket into
the working channel of the scope.
