Controls
Become familiar with all the controls before you start
the engine and operate the machine.

Light Switch
The light switch turns the lights on or off.
Sprayer Pump Switch
The sprayer pump switch turns the sprayer pump on
or off.
Kill Cord and Operator Presence
Sensor
The kill cord and operator presence sensor ensure
that when the operator leaves the platform, the engine
shuts off. The engine will not start until the operator
presence sensor is engaged.
Throttle Lever
The throttle lever controls the speed (rpm) of the
engine. It has a continuous-variable setting from the
S
LOW
to F
AST
position.
Motion-Control Levers
Use the motion-control levers to drive the machine
forward, reverse, and turn either direction.
Plow Joystick
The plow joystick is located on the left side of the
machine. It moves the plow up, down, left, and right.

Fuel-Shutoff Valve
The fuel-shutoff valve is located underneath the choke
lever. Move the lever for the fuel-shutoff valve to the
O
PEN
position before attempting to start the engine.
When you have finished using the machine, shut off
the engine and move the fuel-shutoff valve lever to the
C
LOSED
position. Close the fuel-shutoff valve when
transporting or storing the machine.
Choke Lever
Use the choke lever to start a cold engine. Before
starting the engine, move the choke lever to the
C
LOSED
position. Once the engine is running, move
the choke lever to the O
PEN
position. Do not use the
choke if the engine is already warmed up or the air
temperature is high.
