Aligning the SCT 415 S52 using

the setting aid

The setting aid is available as an optional accessory.

Place the setting aid on the star knob screw.

Use the spirit levels on the precision holder to align
the SCT 415 S52 by means of the setting aid.

1 Setting aid

8.10 Setting calibration board height

Find the required height of the calibration board in
the manufacturer's "Repair instructions".

Check if there is a difference in height between the
resting surface of the vehicle and the resting surface
of the SCT 415 S52 (for example, because a lift is
used).

If there is a difference in height between the resting
surfaces, compensate by adjusting the height given
in the short instructions accordingly.

Attach the calibration board.

Operate the locking handle, and use the ruler to set
the calibration board to the required height.

Fastening the tape measure holder

Lessen the fixing screw.

Attach tape measure holder to the cross beam.

Tighten the securing screw.

Place tape measure in tape measure holder and
secure it with the knurled screw.
