The selected list is activated. When switching to the "Machine" operating

area, this list is displayed by pressing the F-key "Active variables".

●

Write variable values
After confirming a prompt, the values of the selected list are transferred to

the control.
In case of error, a list with the occurring errors appears.
If no error occurs, a respective note appears in the status line.

Configuring Functions to Quickly Activate Variable Lists

The configuration of fast functions to quickly activate variable lists is carried out

in IndraWorks Engineering (commissioning). The functions can be applied to

both F-keys and M-keys. To do this, the "Variables" function is assigned to one

key. Either a path or a specific list can be entered in text field "Path or list

name". If only one list is entered, it is displayed as soon as the key is pressed.

If a path is entered, a list of all the variable lists existing in this path is shown

when the key is pressed. When a list is selected, it is immediately displayed.

Interruption of Connection

If the connection to the control is interrupted, all variable editors are closed. If

edited data has not been saved at this point in time, the files are saved on the

hard disk under the same name (including the path) in the directory
"c:\SaveXXXXXXXX".
"XXXXXXXX" stands for the abbreviation of the current date (year/month/day).
Example:

20050614 corresponds to June 14, 2005.

After the connection has been restored, the saved files can be copied to a mount

directory of the control using the Windows Explorer.

7.4

Editor to Define SD Variables

7.4.1

Usage

This application is used to comfortably define SD variables. The variable defi‐

nition is stored in files of type SDDefxxx.xml.
The defined variables are available in the control if the definition files are saved

in one of these directories:

Root directory of the control

●

/feprom

●

/usrfep

Changes in definition files become only effective after an NC restart.
