8  ID 200/C-PDP web interface

The communication module has an integrated web server. It has a web interface, 
which delivers status information and enables the device to be configured. 

8.1  Connection to the PC

The network connection via the serial interface with Windows 7 is only supported 
from ID 200/C-PDF firmware version 1.2, code 07.12.12.

8.1.1 

Hardware / physical interface

The web server is addressed via a PPP connection (Point-to-Point Protocol) on 
the web interface. The PPP connection is used automatically after a PC direct 
connection is established.
With the ID 200/C-PDP, the PC direct connection is established via the RS232 
diagnosis interface.

8.1.2 

Connection setup

In the Windows 7 Control Panel you have to install a special kind of 

Modem

 that uses 

a serial COM port - and not your probably built-in modem in your PC.
To do this, you need system administrator permission on the Windows 7 PC

select 

Phone and Modem

If requested, enter the 

Location Information 

– only for dummy, because you don’t 

call ID 200 by phone modem.
