Bosch Rexroth AG, RE 95289-01-B/2021-10-12
7 Installation
Before installation, the data sheet of the product (including admissible
technical data) main dimensions and circuit diagrams of standard versions)
must be made available.
7.1 Unpacking
NOTICE!
Danger due to electrostatic discharge!
When unpacking the display, there is a danger of damage to the electronic
components of the display due to electrostatic discharge.
▶ When unpacking, protect the display against electrostatic discharge;
information on the protection of the display against electrostatic discharge
(ESD) can be found in the respective data sheet (Table 1 "Required and
supplementary documentation" on page 5).
▶ Remove the packaging from the display.
▶ Check the display for transport damage and completeness, see chapter 4
"Scope of delivery" on page 14.
▶ Dispose of the packaging in accordance with the regulations in your country.
7.2 Installation conditions
The installation position and position of the display essentially determine the
procedures for installation and commissioning.
▶ Do not install the BODAS display in the vicinity of parts that generate
considerable heat (e.g. exhaust system). Increased temperatures have a negative
effect on the service life of the product.
▶ To avoid any risks from lightning, do not install the BODAS display at exposed
positions on the machine.
▶ Wiring harnesses should be mechanically supported in the area in which the
display is installed (distance < 150 mm). Non-compliant or too long cables
can lead to malfunctions. The connectors/cables need to be made waterproof.
The main connector must be inserted until it snaps into place. Check that the seal
is present on the main connector.
▶ Radio equipment and mobile telephones must not be used in the driver's cab
without a suitable antenna or near the control electronics.
▶ A sufficient distance to radio systems must be maintained.
▶ All connectors must be unplugged from the electronics during electrical
welding and painting operations.
▶ Cables/wires must be sealed individually to prevent water from entering
the device.
▶ Standing and permanently running water are not permitted anywhere near
the inspection window, the key bar or the pressure equalizing element (PEE).
Ensure that the device cannot be controlled and read while it is in frozen
condition and that it is de-iced by self-heating before being used.
▶ Attention should be paid to ergonomics requirements when positioning
the display and configuring the display contents. It must be ensured that
it is possible work in a fatigue-free way at all times. Direct sunlight may decrease
the readability of the display. We recommend that you use a location without
direct sunlight and display content with a contrast level that is sufficiently high.
