The figure above illustrates the arrangement of control elements, status LED and connection
options on the front side of the bus coupler.

Ethernet-interface (XF6, XF7)

Ethernet connection is established via an 8-pole RJ45 connector.
The interfaces at the bus coupler are set to auto-crossing (auto-crossover). The connected
cable is recognized automatically by the interfaces and the Rx and Tx lines are assigned
accordingly. For example, a switch with auto-crossing function can be directly connected by
means of a 1:1-wired cable instead of a crossed cable (cross-over cable).

Auto-crossover is only supported in auto-negation mode. Without auto-negation, crossover
can be carried out manually in web-based management with the „Manual Crossover“
checkbox.

The shielding ground of the Ethernet lines for connection is conductive and connected to the
Ethernet socket. For connection of network segments, avoid grounding loops, potential
transfers and equipotential currents via the shielding braid.
