“Power on/off” and
residual heat indicator
Every cooking zone is fitted with a “power on/off” and
residual heat indicator which comes on when the flame
on the corresponding burner is ignited.
The residual heat indicator remains on after the cooking
zone has been switched off provided the hotplate is still
hot enough to be dangerous when touched.
The residual heat indicator goes out when the hotplate
has cooled sufficiently.
Overheating
protection
The hob is equipped with overheating protection to
protect the electronics. This switches all the burners off
in the event of overheating and the “power on/off”
indicators in all the burners and the main switch flash.
Turn all control knobs to the 0 position. Wait until the
appliance has cooled down sufficiently and the power
on/off indicator for the main switch has gone out.
Now you can switch on the appliance as usual.
The burner power on/off indicators stop flashing rapidly
or switch over to the residual heat indicator.
Childproof locks
To activate the childproof lock, disconnect the hob by
means of the main switch, then press on the child lock
for a few seconds until the child lock indicator comes
on. The hob cannot then be switched on.
To deactivate the childproof lock, press on the child lock
for a few seconds until the main switch indicator comes
on. The hob can then be switched on as usual.
Warnings
This appliance will not function if it is not connected to the
mains electricity or if the electricity supply is interrupted.
It is normal to hear a slight whistling noise while the
burner is operating.
When it is first used, it is normal for the burner to give off
odours; this does not pose any risk and does not indicate
a malfunction; they will disappear in time.
A few seconds after switching off the burner, it will make
a sound (thud). This is not a fault - this means that the
safety device is no longer operating.
Inner flame on full power.
Inner flame on minimum power.
