7.2 Using cookware
The selection and positioning of the cookware affects
the safety and energy efficiency of your appliance.
WARNING ‒ Risk of fire!
Flammable objects may ignite.
▶
Maintain a distance of at least 50 mm between the
cookware and flammable objects.
Use cookware that is a
suitable size for each item
of cookware. Never use
small cookware on large
burners. The flames must
not touch the sides of the
cookware.
Do not use deformed
cookware. Deformed
cookware is not stable on
the hob and may tip over.
Only use cookware with a
thick, flat base.
Do not cook without a lid.
Ensure that the lid does
not move. When cooking
without a lid, a large
amount of the energy es-
capes.
Place the tableware right
in the centre of the
burner. Otherwise, it may
tip over. Do not use a
large item of tableware on
burners that are close to
the control knobs. The
control knobs may be
damaged by the intense
heat.
Place the cookware cor-
rectly on the pan sup-
ports. Never place the
cookware directly on the
burner.
Before use, ensure that
the pan supports and
burner caps are attached
properly.
Handle the cookware on
the hob carefully. Do not
bang on the hob. Do not
place any heavy objects
on the hob.
Do not use two burners or
heat sources to heat one
single item of cookware.
Do not use griddle plates,
clay pots, etc. for a long
time at full power.
