A few seconds after the burner is switched off, a sound (thud)
will be produced. This is not a fault - this means that the safety
device is no longer operating.
Keep the burner as clean as possible. If the ignition sparkers
are dirty they will not light properly. Clean them periodically
using a small non-wire brush. Bear in mind that the ignition
sparkers must not suffer any serious impacts.
Cooking guidelines
Timer
The timer can be used in two ways:

As a countdown timer.
■
To programme the automatic off of up to two burners.
Countdown timer
The countdown timer can be used to time periods up to 99
minutes. This is independent of other services. It can be
programmed even when the hob is switched off. This function
does not switch off any burner.
It is programmed as follows

Touch the

symbol once. The

indicator lights up. The
time programming indicator

Touch the

symbol in the following five seconds to
programme the required time.
The countdown begins in a few seconds.
The time programming indicator always displays the time
remaining for the first programme to finish.

A beep sounds for 30 seconds. The time programming

When any symbol is pressed the indicators go out and the
beep stops.
Change the programmed time
Touch the

symbol and change the time using

following 5 seconds. The new programmed time will begin after
a few seconds.
To cancel the programme
Touch the

using the

symbols. The indicator disappears following a few seconds or
displays the time remaining for the following programme.
Note:
The countdown timer does not continue after a power
failure.
Programming a burner to switch off
automatically
Introduce a cooking time for the required burner. The burner
turns off automatically when the programmed time is reached.
Up to two burners can be programmed at the same time.
It is programmed as follows
The burner must be on.
1.
Touch the
0
symbol twice. The indicators display the
settings of the burners of their hob for one second. Select the
desired burner by touching the
0
symbol.

Touch the

or
+
symbol in the following five seconds to
programme the required time.
The programme will start after a few seconds or when another
burner is selected.
This sequence may be used to programme any burner on the
hob.
The time programming indicator displays the time remaining for
the first programme to finish. The burner indicator
corresponding to the time lights up. The dimmed indicators
correspond to other programmes that are in progress. Touch
the
0
symbol to check all of the programmed times.
When the programmed time has elapsed
The burner goes out. A beep sounds for 30 seconds. The time

flash successively. Then, when any symbol is pressed, the
indicators go out and the beep stops.
Turn the control knob of the burners switched off by the timer to
the 0 setting.
