Additional settings
The device's setup menu allows you to make
changes to the settings to suit your prefer-
ences.
Settings for connected devices
Adjusting the display format
The following settings are available for the
display format:
f
NORM PS: The DVD player is connected to
a 4:3 display. The wide-screen image is
displayed on the screen at full width with
black bars at the top and bottom edge of
the screen.
f
NORM LB: The DVD player is connected to
a 4:3 display. The wide-screen image is
displayed using the full height of the
screen. The left and right edge of the
wide-screen image are automatically cut
off.
f
WIDE: The DVD player is connected to a
16:9 display. The wide-screen image is
displayed on the screen at full size.

Adjusting the color television
standard of the display
For perfect image quality: On the DVD player
you must set the color television standard that
is used by the connected display.
“PAL” is the standard used in Europe; “NTSC” is
the standard for the American/Asiatic region.
Note:
If this setting is changed, it takes
effect only after the device is
switched off and on again via the
vehicle ignition.

Parental control
You can prevent playback of DVDs that are
unsuitable for minors by defining a rating level.
If a DVD supports rating levels and it does not
correspond to the rating level set on the
device, it will not be played.
Note:
Not all DVDs support rating levels.
