Checking the 

brake pads

Check that the 

brake pads

 are no less than

1.8

 

mm wide at any point and there are no less

than 2.5

 

mm between the 

brake pad

 and

supporting plate.

brake pads

 for damage and thick dirt.

Have damaged or very dirty 

brake pads

replaced. Contact specialist dealer.

Push brake lever and hold.

In doing so, check whether the transport safety 
wear gauge can fit between the 

brake pad

 

supporting plates.

If the transport safety wear gauge fits between
the supporting plates, the 

brake pads

 have

not reached their wear limit. Contact your
specialist dealer if they are worn.

Checking the brake 

rotors

Put on gloves as the 

brake rotor

 is very sharp.

Take hold of 

brake rotor

 and joggle it gently to

check whether the 

brake rotor

 is positioned 

against the wheel free of 

play

.

Check that the 

brake pads

 move uniformly 

and symmetrically back towards the 

brake 

rotor

 when you pull and release the brake lever.

If the 

brake rotor

 can be moved or the 

brake

pads

 move erratically, contact your specialist

dealer.

Check that the 

brake rotor

 is no less than 

1.8 mm thick at any point.

If the 

brake rotor

 is under the wear limit and is

less than 1.8

 

mm thick, the 

brake rotor

 must

be

 

replaced. Contact specialist dealer.
