Scanning the chain length with sensor, “small” drive head
You can see the
elongation of the chain
through the slot (A) in the
protective case. The lever (B)
of the chain tensioner
moves from the top (new/
shortened chain) downwards
(elongated chain) as the
chain length increases. If the
lever is no longer visible in
the slot, the chain must be
shortened.
Alternatively, install a sensor

Switching distance
1.5+0.5mm
The vane (C) damps the
sensor when the maximum
permissible chain length
is reached.
Please note:
• Be sure to comply with
the switching distance;
otherwise, the sensor will
be mechanically destroyed
• For control, lead the cable
out through the cutout in
the protective case.
