12.2 Display overview

The keypad uses words, numbers, and symbols to show the
status of the security system. When several events occur, the
keypad shows each event in order of priority. The display shows
five lines, 21 characters per line.

The keypad has a bright two-line by 20-character liquid crystal
display (LCD). When names are more than 18 characters, the text
scrolls horizontally, similar to the way a stock ticker scrolls.
