Malfunction
If it is no longer possible to lock or unlock the
vehicle with the remote control the battery might
be flat or the problem might be due to interfer‐
ence from external sources such as mobile
phones, metallic objects, high-tension electric
cables, radio transmitters, etc.
In this case, lock or unlock the vehicle with the
integrated key via the door lock.
Via the door lock
General
Locking from the outside
Do not lock the vehicle from the outside
when there is someone inside it, as it cannot
then be unlocked from the inside in some na‐
tional-market versions.◀
Removing the key before pulling the door
handle
To avoid damage to the paint and key, always
remove the key before pulling the outer door
handle.◀
With certain national-market versions, the
alarm is triggered when opening via the door
lock.
To end this alarm, unlock the vehicle with the
remote control or turn on the ignition, with spe‐
cial ID of the remote control as necessary.
Depending on the equipment fitted in the vehi‐
cle, it may be the case that only the driver's door
is locked or unlocked using the door lock.
Locking the doors and tailgate together
To lock all doors and the tailgate together:
1. With the doors closed, lock the car using the
central locking button inside the vehicle.
2. Unlock and open the driver's or front pas‐
senger's door.
3. Lock vehicle.
▷ Lock the driver's door using the
integrated key in the door lock or
▷ Press the locking button on the front
passenger's door and close the door
from the outside.
It is only possible to lock the fuel filler flap with
the remote control.
Manual operation
In the event of an electrical defect, lock or unlock
the driver's door with the integrated key using
the door lock.
