View of the map
1. Select the symbol.
2. Select a setting:
> "North-oriented"
> "Indicating dir. of travel"
> "Perspective"
> "Arrow view"
3. Press the controller.
Changing the map section
Select the interactive map.
> To move the map: tilt the controller in the
corresponding direction.
> To move the map diagonally: tilt the control-
ler in the corresponding direction and turn
it.
Changing the scale
1. Select the symbol.
2. Turn the controller to alter the scale.
Automatically set scale
In the north-facing map view, turn the controller
any direction until the scale indicator shows
'AUTO'.
The map scale is selected in such a way that the
current position and destination are shown on
the map.
Settings for the map view
The map is displayed on the Control Display.
1. Call up "Options".
2. "Settings"
3. Set the optimised map view.
> "Day/night mode"
Select according to lighting conditions
and make settings. If the traffic informa-
tion map is activated, this setting is not
taken into consideration.
> With navigation system Professional:
"Satellite images"
Depending on availability and resolution,
satellite images

are shown scaled to
between 2 and 1000 km, approx. 1 and
600 miles.
> With navigation system Professional:
"Perspective view in 3D"
Shows a 3D view. Distinctive locations in
the navigation data are shown on the
map in 3D.
> "Traffic info map"
The map is optimised for the display of
traffic information. Symbols for points of
interest are no longer displayed.
With navigation system Business:
Arrow view
An arrow view is shown on the map.
1. Call up "Options".
2. "Arrow view on map"
With navigation system Professional:
Map view for split screen
For the split screen, the map view can be
selected independently of the main screen.
1. Call up "Options".
2. "Split screen"
Split screen is activated.
3. Tilt the controller repeatedly to the right
until the split screen content is selected.
4. Select the map view:
> "Arrow view"
> "Map north-oriented"
> "Map indicating dir. of travel"
> "Map perspective"
> "3D exit roads"
Changing the scale
1. Tilt the controller to the right until the split
screen is selected.
2. Turn the controller.
Traffic information*
You can obtain a display of traffic information
from radio stations that broadcast a TMC (Traf-
