ATTENTION

The rear wheel is crooked

due to uneven adjustment of

the screws

Increased wear on the rear

wheel and chain drive

Make sure the toe setting

is adjusted correctly (same

scale value on both sides

of the rear wheel swinging

arm).

Set the same scale value

on

both sides.

Tighten the lock nuts

on the

left and right to the specified

torque.

Lock nut of the drive

chain tensioning screw

14 lb/ft (19 Nm)

Tighten quick-release axle

nut

to the specified torque.

Requirement

Chain sag is correctly adjusted.

Park the vehicle, making sure

that the ground is firm and

level.

Engage 1st gear.

Rotate the rear wheel in the

driving direction until the

drive chain is tensioned.

Determine chain length below

the rear wheel swinging arm

above the center of 10 rivets

at 3 different locations.

Permissible chain length

max 5.7 in (max 144 mm)

If the drive chain has reached

the maximum approved length:
