MAINTENANCE

Roll the rear wheel as far for-

ward as possible and remove

the drive chain

from the

camshaft sprocket.

Pull out the brake-caliper sup-

port

to the front and set it

to the side.

Roll the rear wheel toward

rear and out of the rocker.

The camshaft sprocket

and the spacing bushings

on the left and right are loosely

inserted in the wheel. During

removal, make sure that the

parts are not damaged or lost.

Installing the rear wheel

ATTENTION

Altering the tire size

Influence on the control sys-

tems

Have new parameters en-

coded by a specialist work-

shop, preferably by an au-

thorized BMW Motorrad re-

tailer.
