7.1 Profile and filter
7.1.1 Profile
The instrument calculates the parameter on the basis of filtering profile and direct profile. All calculation conform to GB/T
3505-2000 Geometrical Product Specification Surface Structure Profile Method Surface Structure's Predication,
Definition, and Parameter.
Original profile: Only remove the noise profile from the collected profile signals.
Filtering profile: The profile which removed ripple from original profile through roughness filter.
Direct profile: The profile which only take minimum square law mid-court line calculation from original profile.
7.1.2 Filter
RC:
It is the traditional two-level RC filter, and conform to old standard. Considering that some users are still using it,
so we keep it as transition. The input and output signal of this instrument has phase difference.
PC-RC:
It is the filter which has taken digital phase correction on the basis of RC filter. It's amplitude transmission
feature is the same as RC filter. There is almost no phase difference. The amplitude parameters collected through RC
filter and PC-RC filter are same.
GAUSS (Gauss filter):
It is the newest roughness filter. It conforms to GB/T18777-2002 GEOMETRICAL
PRODUCT SPECIFICATION SURFACE STRUCTURE PROFILE METHOD, THE METRO-LOGICAL CHARACTER OF
PHASE CORRECTION FILTER.
