2.4 System Setting
2.4.1 Unit system
After long press of the filter/metric & inch/ up arrow (Filter), the instrument can change periodically between metric unit
and British unit until it select the required unit.
Select metric unit.
Select British unit.
2.4.2 LCD Back-light
If the environment light is dark when operating the instrument, press back-light key can turn on the back-light; Press
again can turn off the back-light and save battery electric quantity.
2.5 Function Selection
2.5.1 Stylus position
Press stylus position key, the instrument will indicate the actual stylus position; Press again then drop out. If the stylus
position cursor is below 0 position, then it means that the actual stylus position is below balance point; If the stylus
position cursor is above 0 position, then it means that the actual stylus position is above balance point; At this time
please adjust the relative position of work piece and instrument, try to make sure that the stylus position is near to 0 so
as to obtain best measurement result. All measurements are valid unless the stylus position exceed the measurement
range. During the measurement process, please make sure that the probe main-body is parallel to the test surface
(visual inspection is enough). At this time all measurements are valid if the stylus position is within the measurement
range.
Stylus position
Proper and artful use of instrument accessories such as height support, height stand can help to adjust the stylus
position so as to obtain reliable measurement result.
2.5.2 Calibration of indicating value
Long press the measurement range/indicating value calibration key to enter into calibration mode. If the instrument LCD
top side has "CAL" symbol, then press up & down arrows can adjust the value. There will has "-" symbol before negative
numbers. Under the "CAL" situation, all setting value is percentage, Maximum and Minimum value is ±20%. Each
