Manual
The Multi Wattmeter 100A is a sophisticated measuring device,
controlled by a high performance micro processor and very
precise resistors, which allows you to optimize you electrical
powered propulsion and which checks the state of your Lithium
battery and balances the cells if necessary. If placed between
battery and charger the Multi Wattmeter can be used to moni-
tor the charging process as well.
The Multi Wattmeter 100A has five basic functions:
1) Wattmeter: Allows you to check and improve your motor
setup: the performance (W), power consumption (mAh),
voltage(V) and current(A) are displayed.
2) Display of the residual capacity, both in % and graphically.
Monitoring of the individual cell voltages.
3) Balancing Lithium batteries: If the voltage differences be-
tween the individual cells of the 2S~6S Li-XX battery is to
large, the Multi Wattmeter 100A, can balance them, without
the use of any charger.
4) Capacity display during the charge process
5) Capacity display during the discharge process

INSTRUCTIONS
The MULTI Wattmeter 100A is acti-
vated when a battery is connected
to the device. For the specific Watt
-
meter function, connect the power
source to the dean connector on
the left side of the housing (Power
Input). For the balancer function,
use the supplied HX 2S~6S balancer
that needs to be connected to the
balancer port.
A) Checking the individual cell volt-
age and displaying the residual ca-
pacity:
Press the ‘select’-button until the desired Lithium battery type
is selected (LiPo, LiFe or Li-ion). Two arrows will appear around
the selected item. Press ‘enter’ to confirm. Now select the
‘Check’ function using the ‘select’-button and confirm using the
‘enter’-button. The following information will appear on the
screen: Battery-type, cell count, total voltage, residual capacity
expressed both in percentage and graphically.
By pressing the ‘enter’-button, the individual cell voltages will
be displayed on a new screen. To switch between the main
screen and the second screen press the ‘enter’-button. To go
back to the previous menu press ‘esc’. If the cell voltages are
out of balance (more than 10% difference) , the Multi Watt-
meter 100A will show you the difference between the highest
and lowest cell on the screen. A message ‘UNBALANCED’ will
appear on the screen. The battery should be balanced.
B) Balancing the Lithium battery
(LiPo, LiFe, Li-ion)
Press the ‘select’-button until the
desired Lithium battery type is se-
lected (LiPo, LiFe or Li-ion). Two ar-
rows will appear around the selected
item. Press ‘enter’ to confirm. Now
select ‘Balance’ using the ‘select’-button and confirm using the
‘enter’-button.
The following information will appear on the screen: Bat-
tery-type, cell count and total voltage. On the second line of
the screen the ‘Balancing’ message will blink. This program
equalizes the individual cell voltages to their lowest one. The
balancing process can be followed cell per cell on the screen
by pressing the ‘enter’ button. When the balancing process is
finished, a beep will sound 20 times.
The beep sound of the device can be deactivated by pressing
the ‘select’-button during 3 seconds. To reactivate the sound
signal, repeat the same procedure.
C) Wattmeter
Select the ‘Watt’ option in the menu
by pressing the ‘select’-button and
press ‘enter’ to confirm.
By pressing the ‘select’ button for 3
seconds, while in the ‘Watt’ mode,
the Multi Wattmeter 100A will be re-
set and all values set to zero.
