Deﬁ ning the route type

To deﬁ ne the route type:

In the "

Route options

" menu, mark

and conﬁ rm the desired menu
item.

If you select "

Optimum

", the

navigation system guides you
to your destination using a
time-optimised and distance-
optimised path, comparable to
a driver who knows the place.
You can deﬁ ne the relationship
of a time-optimised to distance-
optimised route (see p. 70).

If you select "

Fast

", the naviga-

tion system guides you to the
destination using the fastest
way.

If you select "

Short

", the navi-

gation system guides you to the
destination using the shortest
way.

If you select "

Dynamic

", the

navigation system includes the
current TMC trafﬁ c announce-
ments and changes the route if
it should bring you to your des-
tination any faster (see p. 70).

If you select "

Enable

", you can

allow or disallow ferries, tun-
nels, toll roads or motorways
for the route calculation, pro-
vided that it does not result
in excessive detours (see be-
low).

If you select "

Adjust optimum

",

you can deﬁ ne the relationship
