If no traffic information station is found within
30 seconds of the start of the search function,
then the CD playback will stop and you will
hear a warning beep. Switch off the warning
beep as described above.
Entering station names
You can store different values for this setting
separately on KeyCard 1 and 2.
If you select a station, then its frequency, for
example 96.2, will appear in the display. If the
station also transmits an RDS signal, then
the station name will also appear afterwards,
for example NDR2. You can also replace the
frequency by entering a name with a maxi-
mum of 8 digits for stations without the RDS
signal.
The stations must be stored on the memory
level I or II.
•
Select the desired station button.
In order to enter the name
•
press the DSC button.
• Press the rocker switch / repea-
tedly until ST NAME appears in the
display.
• Select the entry mode with the rocker
switch <</>>.
The frequency followed by dashes will ap-
pear in the display. The first dash will flash.
You have the choice between the capital
letters A to Z, special characters and the
digits 0 to 9.
In order to select the first character
•
press the rocker switch / as often
as necessary.
The display will change accordingly. The first
character selected will flash.
In order to confirm your selection
•
press the rocker switch >>.
The first character will light up and the se-
cond dash will flash.
Enter the next character in the same way.
Once you have completed the name as desi-
red,
•
press the -dB button for longer than 2
seconds.
In order to switch back to the radio mode
•
press the DSC button.
When you now select this station, the name
you have entered will appear in the display.
The RDS display has priority. If you enter a
name for an RDS station, then this name will
appear in the display for approximately 2
seconds after you switch it on. Then the RDS
name will appear. If you re-assign any of the
station buttons, you automatically delete any
names you have entered for that station.
TIM
(Traffic Information Memo)
This car radio is equipped with a digital lan-
guage memory which can record up to four
traffic announcements with a total length of
four minutes at the maximum.
When the radio is switched on, the traffic
messages are recorded automatically, even
when the DSC mode TIM OFF has been
selected or TA switched off.
The radio has been equipped with a timer so
that it can still record traffic announcements
in your absence or when the radio has been
switched off.
Selecting TIM standby recording
“TIM TIME“
Before you can activate the timer, you must
set the clock with the correct time in DSC
mode, if this has not yet been done.
Please read the section “Setting the clock”.
In order to set the desired recording time
•
press the DSC button.
• Press the rocker switch / repea-
tedly until TIM TIME appears in the
display.
• Press the rocker switch <<. Either
OFF or the hours will flash in the dis-
play.
In order to set the hours
•
press the rocker switch / as often
as required.
