Summary
In this chapter, you learned the basic features of the handheld’s functions. You can
send and receive email and SMS messages, place and answer phone calls, enable
wireless calendar synchronization, browse web pages, and add Address Book
entries, tasks, memos, and appointments.
Note In the Browser function, you can also create bookmark subfolders, add,
edit, and delete bookmarks, save web pages and requests to your
Messages screen, and set your Browser options. Refer to the Handheld
User Guide for more information.
Using your handheld’s applications - Tips
• Press
ALT
and roll the trackwheel to scroll horizontally in any screen where you can type
text.
• Press
SPACE
to insert the “@” and “.” characters in an Email field.
• Press and hold “
G
” while rolling the trackwheel to scroll through available currency
symbols.
• When typing text, press and hold a letter while rolling the trackwheel to scroll through
accents, symbols, or marks associated with that character. When the desired character
appears, release the letter key.

RIGHT SHIFT
to turn on CAP-lock mode. Press
SHIFT
or
ALT
to turn it off.

LEFT SHIFT
to turn on NUM-lock mode. Press

• Type the first letters of a task or memo to locate it on the Find screen.

in the body of an open received message or on the Messages screen to
move down a page. Press SHIFT + SPACE to move a page up.
