LIMITED WARRANTY
General Terms
This Limited Warranty applies in
the United States and Canada to
Compaq iPAQ BlackBerry Wireless Email Solution products
manufactured or distributed by Compaq Computer Corporation or
its subsidiaries (Compaq) under the Compaq brand name. This
Limited Warranty defines the restrictions and warranty period that
apply to the Compaq product you have purchased.
Compaq warrants to YOU, the end-user (“YOU”) that the Hardware
component [comprising the iPAQ BlackBerry H1100 Handheld,
Cradle and Holster] of the Compaq iPAQ BlackBerry Wireless
Email Solution you have purchased from Compaq or from an
authorized reseller is free from defects in materials or workmanship
under normal use for a period that is the shorter of (i) one (1) year
from the date that the Hardware was first purchased by YOU as an
original end-user and (ii) the period ending upon your breach of the
End-User’s Agreement entered into when YOU ordered the
Compaq iPAQ BlackBerry Wireless Email Solution. If the Hardware
(or component thereof) is repaired or replaced during the Warranty
Period, the Warranty Period will expire upon the later of the 91
st
day after repair or replacement or one year from the date of original
purchase.
During the Warranty Period, Compaq will repair or replace the
defective Hardware or part(s), with new Hardware or part(s), or at
Compaq’s option a used part(s) that meets or exceeds performance
specifications for new parts. All exchanged parts and Hardware
replaced under this warranty are the property of Compaq. The
replaced parts take on the warranty status of the removed part. In
the unlikely event that your Compaq product has a reoccurring
failure, Compaq, at its discretion, may elect to replace your
Hardware with a comparable replacement.
