The Serial Upgrade Kit adds these characteristics to the ServSwitch™ Affinity:

Serial: EIA/TIA RS-232 proprietarily pinned on DB25

Protocol:

RS-232: Asynchronous

Data Format:

RS-232: 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit (fixed)

Data Rate:

RS-232: 50, 110, 300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800, or 9600 bps

(user-selectable)

Flow Control:

RS-232: Transparent to software flow control; doesn’t

support hardware flow control

Maximum
Distance:

100 ft. (30.5 m) to any attached serial device
