2.5 Power Handling
Some USB devices are powered directly from the USB bus and do not require
individual power supplies. The Remote Port USB can provide power to these
devices so they can operate remotely.
Bus-powered devices are further divided into low-power and high-power categories.
The Remote Port USB can operate one bus-powered device (either low power or
high power).
NOTE
Devices with their own power source are considered (from a USB
perspective) to be low-power devices.
2.6 Applications
The Remote Port USB configures for simple extension, as shown in Figure 2-5.
