user-add
Description
The user-add command lets the Administrator add ETEP users. Each user is assigned a user name and
role. When strong password enforcement is enabled, the Administrator specifies the password expiration,
expiration warning, minimum interval between password changes, and the maximum number of
concurrent login sessions allowed per user. The Administrator can also assign a common name to a user
account.

Syntax
user-add {<name> <role>} [common-name] [<password-expiration> <password-
minimum> <password-warning> <password-grace-period> <maximum-login-
sessions>]
Attributes
name –
Specifies the user name
.
role –
{admin | ops}
Associates a user role with the user name.
common-name –
The common name from the Common Access Card’s identity certificate. By default, a
common name is not used.
password-expiration –
The password expiration period, specified in days.
password-minimum –
The number of days that a user must wait before changing the password.
password-warning –
The number of days prior to password expiration that a warning is given to the
user.
password-grace-period –
The number of days after the password expires that a user can log in
using the expired password.
maximum-login-sessions –
The maximum number of concurrent sessions allowed per user on the
ETEP.
Usage Guidelines
User name conventions are as follows:

User names must be unique on the ETEP.
●
User names can range from 1-32 characters.
