ike-sa-dh-group

Description

The

ike-sa-dh-group

command specifies the Diffie-Hellman group to use for Phase 1 ISAKMP

communications in IPsec management policies.

User Type

Administrator

Hierarchy Level

ike-parameters-set mode (config > management-interface > ipsec-config > ike-parameters-set)

Syntax

ike-sa-dh-group {<DH-group-ID>}

Attributes

DH-group-ID - {1 | 2 | 5 | 14 | 15 | 16 | 17 | 18}

The Diffie-Hellman group ID. The default value is 2.

Usage Guidelines

The Diffie-Hellman group ID defines the strength supplied to the Diffie-Hellman calculation for the later
creation of keys by the peers. Group 1 is the least secure and least computationally demanding. Group 18
provides the highest level of security and also involves the most processing.

The Diffie-Hellman group ID is a global setting that will be used in all IKE encryption policies on the
ETEP management port.
