To make a Planimetry measurement
You can also measure a volume by drawing polygons around the area of interest on
slices taken throughout the Cube.

Tap Volume .

Draw a polygon around the area of interest by tapping points on the perimeter.
When you have come to the last point, double-tap to set the area.

Tap Next to move through the volume by the chosen step size or Prev to go to
the previous step.

Outline the area of interest in the new slice.

Repeat steps 2, 3, and 4 for each slice until the area of interest is no longer visible
(the volume measurement is completed).
The system updates the accumulated volume (in cm
3
) as each polygon is
completed.

Tap Volume again to finish the volume measurement.
Deleting Measurements
To delete a measurement:

Tap Undo Measurement . The most recent measurement is deleted.
You can undo several times to remove more than one measurement. You can also
Redo Measurement if you have used the Undo Measurement button.
To delete all measurements:

Tap Clear Measurements .

Render View
Rendering dramatically improves 3D visualization. It is useful for looking in detail
at soft tissues such as fistulas and abscess cavities. In this view, for gray scale
volumes only, you can use sculpting tools to remove obstructing portions of the
volume so you can better see the areas of interest.

Measurements obtained with the 3D system and used in diagnosis must be carefully and
thoughtfully performed to ensure accurate quantitative assessment. Before you perform
a calculation, make sure that all necessary calibrations and measurements are made.
If you suspect that the 3D system’s calibration is inaccurate (that is, the measurements are
not as expected), contact your BK service representative to check and confirm the system’s
proper operation.
