Notice!
Risk of damage to the compressor.
Tighten screws and nuts only to the prescribed
tightening torque and, if possible, crosswise in
at least 2 steps.
Perform a tightness test before commissioning!
6.3
Measures to be taken in case of inadvertent CO
2
emission
Danger!
CO
2
is an odourless and colourless gas and
cannot be perceived directly in case of emis-
sion!
Lost of consciousness and danger of suffocation
by inhaling higher concentrations!
Avoid CO
2
emission and uncontrolled deflating,
particularly in closed rooms!
Aerate closed machine rooms!
Make sure that the safety regulations in accord-
ance with EN 378 are complied with!
Danger!
Liquid CO
2
evaporates quickly, cools down at
the same time and forms dry ice!
Danger of cold burns and frost bites!
Avoid uncontrolled deflating of CO
2
!
When filling the system with CO
2
, wear gloves
and goggles!
If uncontrolled CO
2
emissions occur, take the following
measures:
• When gas is emitted, leave the room immediately,
warn people and guarantee a sufficient aeration.
• Do not enter the zone without a self-contained
breathing apparatus as long as the harmlessness of
the atmosphere has not been proven.
• Stay outdoors on the wind-facing side. Block the
area.
• Replace the pressure relief valves of the com-
pressors after deflating because the opening pres-
sure may be reduced after this procedure.
• After the deflating, check the tightness of the safety
valves and replace them, if necessary.
