Establish a Connection to the Receiver
The
BDS
GUI
on
the
laptop
communicates
with
the
receiver
over
Ethernet.
1.
Check
Status
LEDs
on
the
BDS
Cal
Cart
receiver
to
verify
boot
up
is
complete.
Note:
Receiver
bootup
process
may
take
as
long
as
90
seconds.
Indicators
should
illuminate
green
after
a
successful
bootup.
Note:
The
four
status
LED’s
on
the
front
panel
will
all
turn
green
when
the
receiver
is
ready
(GGGG).
Any
other
pattern
indicates
a
possible
system
failure,
see
.
2.
The
BDS
GUI
should
automatically
connect
to
the
receiver,
if
it
does
not
perform
the
following
steps:
a.
Using
the
BDS
GUI,
Select
“Connection
‐
>New…”
from
the
main
menu.
b.
Enter
the
following
IP
address
of
port
1
in
the
“Address:”
field:
192.168.0.151.
c.
Click
the
“Connect”
button.
Note:
“CONNECTED”
should
be
displayed
in
the
left
‐
most
indicator
field
of
the
main
status
bar
at
the
bottom
of
the
application
window.
Note:
The
BDS
GUI
will
save
your
connection
settings
as
defaults.
If
disconnected
from
the
receiver,
a
connection
can
be
reestablished
by
either
clicking
the
“Connection”
icon,
using
“Connection
‐
>Open”,
or
simply
by
starting
a
data
acquisition.
This
also
works
on
subsequent
launches
of
the
BDS
GUI
application.
3.
Set
up
the
BDS
GUI
to
process
system
information.

Shutdown
1.
Turn
off
RF
power
at
the
source.
2.
Close
the
BDS
GUI
application.
Note:
For
blower
‐
equipped
loads,
wait
approximately
15
minutes
or
wait
for
the
fans
to
stop
running.
This
will
allow
the
load
to
cool.
3.
Power
off
the
laptop.
4.
Disconnect
the
AC
line.
