Preparation for Storage or Shipment
Store the Bird 8730 in a cool, dry area. Drain the coolant and cap the
openings if the unit will be stored for more than 30 days.
To ship, drain the coolant and cap the openings. Pack the unit in its
original shipping container. If this is not available, securely pack and
seal it in a sturdy wooden box or equivalent, with sufficient padding
to avoid shock damage.
Customer Service
Any maintenance or service procedure beyond the scope of those in
this chapter should be referred to a qualified service center.
If you need to return the unit for any reason, contact the Bird Service
Center for a return authorization. All instruments returned must be
shipped prepaid and to the attention of Bird Service Center.
