Daily Cleaning
Unplug the SterilCut S28. Inspect and remove any debris or left-over cutting material when a cutting
process is complete. Disassemble the SterilCut S28 in reverse order of the Assembly Procedure. All
removable components are designed for cold sterilant or sterilization in an autoclave. The Motor Housing
Assembly is designed for clean in place using cold wash down sterilants.
Sanitization of the equipment is also recommended. A Peracetic Acid (CH
3
CO
3
H) solution of between
0.2% and 1% is recommended as a sanitizer after removing loose debris. This solution should be used
generously over the SterilCut S28 to ensure sanitization of all surfaces.
Decommissioning
PROHIBITED:
Always unplug the SterilCut S28 before disassembly, changing
blades, or performing maintenance, cleaning or repair.
Before moving or storing the SterilCut S28, the following steps are required:
1. Make sure the SterilCut S28 is off.
2. Unplug the SterilCut S28 from power source.
3. Disassemble in reverse order per the Assembly Procedure. (Pg. 8)
4. Sterilize where needed per company procedure.
5.
Ensure SterilCut S28 components are safely stored for moving or storage.
NOTE:
The Cleaning Recommendations are only to be used as a guideline from the
manufacturer. In no way should these recommendations be used as the sole cleaning
procedures for the SterilCut S28 within a clean room environment. Please devise and
implement
cleaning procedures based on your company’s standards and cleaning protocols
.
NOTICE:
Do not store the SterilCut S28 in areas subject to high temperature or humidity
changes, doing so may result in condensation. Do not store the SterilCut S28 in areas where it
will be exposed to water. For long term storage, the SterilCut S28 should be stored with a
drying agent, such as silica gel.
