22. Data monitoring and recording
22.1 Ethernet interface
The chamber is regularly equipped with an Ethernet interface (8) that can connect the BINDER communi-
cation software APT-COM™ 3 DataControlSystem (option). The MAC Address is indicated in the “Ether-
net” controller menu (chap. 15.1.1).
22.2 Communication software APT-COM™ 3 DataControlSystem (option)
You can connect the BINDER communication software APT-COM™ 3 DataControlSystem via the cham-
ber’s Ethernet interface (8).
The APT-COM™ System permits the networking of up to 40 chambers and connection to a PC for con-
trolling and programming, as well as recording and representing temperature data.. The actual tempera-
ture value is given at adjustable intervals. Programming can be performed graphically via PC. For further
information on networking please refer to the operating manual of the BINDER communication software
APT-COM™ 3.
22.3 Analog output for temperature (option)
With this option the freezer is equipped with an analog output 4-20 mA for temperature. This output per-
mits transmitting data to external data registration systems or devices.
The connection is realized as a DIN socket (10) in the rear connection panel as follows:

A suitable DIN plug is enclosed.

22.4 Data logger kit (option)
The BINDER Data Logger Kit offers an independent long-term measuring system for temperature. It is
equipped with a keyboard and a large LCD display, alarm functions and a real-time function. Measure-
ment data are recorded in the Data Logger and can be read out after the measurement via the RS232
interface of the Data Logger. It offers a programmable measuring interval and permits storing up to 64000
measuring values. Reading out is done with the Data Logger evaluation software. You can give out a
combined alarm and status protocol directly to a serial printer.
