Numeric example of an extraction cycle
Supposing that the following data have been entered:
Requested quantity = 23.5kg Slow = 4.2kg Fall = 1.5kg Fall correction %= 10%
If the conditions are correct, the "requested" and "slow" outputs will be activated on start.
The terminal deactivates the "slow" output when the extracted quantity reaches the value of 17.8 kg
given by the (requested - slow - fall) difference.
The terminal deactivates the "requested" output when the extracted quantity reaches the value of
22.0 kg given by the (requested - fall) difference.
At this point, the terminal waits for the stable weight to allow the "fall" quantity, i.e. the dropping
material, to settle on the scale.
Once a stable weight is obtained, the terminal activates the "end of extraction" output and acquires
the extracted weight.
Supposing that the acquired extracted weight is 26.7 kg.
The terminal will now proceed to correct the fall value in the following way:
it calculates the Error, or the difference between the acquired extracted weight and the selected
"requested" quantity, thus 26.7 -23.5 = 3.2kg
it calculates the Error, or the difference between the acquired extracted weight and the selected
"requested" quantity, thus 26.7 -23.5 = 3.2kg
the Correction value with sign is added to the currently set Fall value, thus 1.5 kg + (0.32) = 1.82
kg.
The fall value will NO LONGER equal 1.5 kg in the next cycle, but 1.82 kg.
Remember that:
the selected correction percentage must differ from 0% in order to enable the fall correction
value;
extractions interrupted with "stop" are never subjected to fall correction.
