Extraction totals
Each extraction cycle that terminates correctly in all phases (i.e. extraction and possible printout), or
with negligible problems (i.e. an extraction terminated with stop but with a cycle defined as being
able to be totalized and/or a cycle printout terminated with a printer fault but with a cycle defined as
being able to be totalized), leads to an increase in the progressive number and the forms of totalizing
enabled (general total, partial total, total by product code, total by generic code), as well as the
specific extraction total. Besides the total of the extracted material and number of weighing
operations (cycles) accomplished correctly, this total also includes statistical data such as "average
extracted quantity", "minimum extracted quantity", "maximum extracted quantity" and "average
quadratic deviation".
Total extracted
. This is the overall quantity of material extracted with the correctly terminated
extraction cycles.
Number of weighing operations
. This is the number of extraction cycles that have terminated
correctly and have therefore been totalized.
Average extract
. This is the average value extracted. Its value is the result of the Extracted total /
Number of weighing cycles division.
Minimum extract
. This is the minimum value extracted in a cycle that is part of the totalized
extraction cycles.
Maximum extract
. This is the maximum value extracted in a cycle that is part of the totalized
extraction cycles.
Average quadratic deviation (sqm)
. This is the value that gives an idea as to how large is the
range of the extracted values in the totalized cycles. If the deviation is small, it means that the
cycles are all grouped around the average value (average extract) and that the degree of
accuracy of the cycles is high. If the deviation is large, it means that the cycles are very
"dispersed" and that there is less accuracy. The average quadratic deviation is calculated in the
following way:
the extracted weight is squared upon each cycle that can be totalized and is added to that of the
previous cycles;
the obtained value is divided by the overall number of cycles accomplished at that time;
the square of the "average net" is subtracted from the result;
the remainder is subjected to the square root process.
The final result is the average quadratic deviation and is expressed with one more decimal figure
than the number of decimals of the scale.
The above mentioned data items can be printed and reset from the page that displays the "extraction
cycle total".
