In-line Pressure Filters
System Components
General
A compact, easily serviced die-cast filter is available in two sizes for 1” and 3” deep disposable porous
metal filter elements. Two grades of sintered metal filtration are offered, with 5P, 10P, 25P and 125P
micron (nominal) particle protection. The bowl can be quickly disassembled by hand for inspection
and replacement of filters. Elements are high strength, corrosion resistant sintered bronze metal,
capable of removing large amounts of contaminants without breakdown or damage.
Application
Assemblies are specially designed for easy in-line installations. They can be used with a variety of
medias; e.g. hydraulic, oil lubricants, etc. The filters are suitable for continuous delivery, as well as
cyclic operation conditions.
Technical Data
Materials
Die-cast aluminum (housing), porous bronze metal (filter elements)
Maximum Operating Pressure
500 psi
Filter Element Size
1” and 3” (10P micron available in 3” size only)
Filtering Characteristics
5P, 10P, 25P and 125P micron (nominal) ratings particle stoppage
Installation
All filters must be installed in a vertical position for settling of contaminants into the bowl.
In centralized oil lubrication systems, filters must be installed in the main distribution line between
the lubricator and the first application points.
Maintenance
Since filters are designed to remove contaminants, to ensure maximum efficiency, filter elements
must be inspected, cleaned and/or replaced at regular intervals and the bowl must be cleaned.
Filter elements can be removed without disconnecting tubing lines. To service, remove oil line
pressure and unscrew the bowl to remove the element.

Select the appropriate size and filter characteristics required for application. The filter
characteristics indicates the smallest particle size removal in microns, e.g. 25P filters out particles
25 microns and larger. When ordering, specify name and part number, e.g. In-line Pressure Filter,
Part #19848.
Repeated cleaning of the filter element is
NOT recommended.
