SkyBar Mount for UTV with 1 ¾” – 2” Roll Bar
Standard Mount (optional mount on page 3)
This gun rack is supplied with brackets to mount it to the 1 ¾” or 2” roll bar on your UTV.
Your guns will be suspended between two roll bars. Crosswise or lengthwise in the top of the canopy and across the cage in front of the steering wheel
are the most widely used mounting areas.
Parts Furnished:
1) 40” tube with hole in 1 end
1) 24” tube with hole in 1 end
4) Roll Bar Half-Clamps
1) Spacer for ¾” tube
4) ¼” x 1 ¾” Bolt
2) ¼” x 2 ¾” bolt
6) ¼” Lock nut
8) 5/32” Allen head set screws
3/32” Allen wrench to tighten set screws
SBB-G gun bracket set (one or two depending on model purchased)
Tools Required:
7/16” wrench and/or socket
1. Pick your spot. Hold your weapon up in desired area to confirm barrel/butt side clearance and front to back location.
Note:
The Sky Bar outer tube is
40” long. If this is too long for your spot you can cut the necessary amount off the end that
does not
have the mounting hole drilled.
2. Using a ¼ x 1 ¾” bolt, attach two half clamps loosely to the 1” Sky Bar tube. (Use hole B) See Fig. 1.
3.
Partially insert set screws into the foam padded gun brackets.
Do not tighten. Slide gun brackets on the 1” Sky Bar tube. See Fig. 9
4. Insert a ¼” x 1 ¾” bolt through the half clamps, ¾” tube and spacer so there is a half clamp on each side of the tube. See Fig. 2.
5. Put the Sky Bar in position and place the half clamps on either side of your roll bar and insert a ¼ x 1 ¾” bolt through the pre-drilled holes.
(Use hole A) Tighten just enough so the clamps will stay on the roll bar. Repeat on the other end of the Sky Bar. (Fig. 3 & 4)
6. Tighten the bolts through the Sky Bar tubes snugly (hole B), making sure all parts are aligned straight between your roll bars.
7. Tighten the bolts (hole A) on the half clamps until there is no movement on your roll bar.
8. Position gun brackets to best fit your weapon(s) and secure with the set screws.
9. Put your weapon in the gun rack and adjust the gun brackets if necessary for the best fit.
