12. To start the run, press the
start/stop
button. While the rotor is in motion,
the rotation symbol will blink on the
display.
13. The timer will count down in minutes as the
run proceeds. During the final minute the
count down will be displayed in seconds.
14. To stop the run at any point during the
pre-set time, press the
start/stop
button.
15. When the run has finished, the door lock will
be released automatically and the unit will
emit a beeping sound.
16. To perform a pulse spin, first set the
maximum rpm or rcf as in step 8. Press the
pulse
button. The centrifuge will accelerate
to the set speed and then immediately
decelerate to a stop.
NOTE:
Should there be a power failure the
door
button will not be functional. In order to recover
the samples, the emergency door release latch
situated on the base of the unit should be used.
Remove the mains cable and carefully turn the
unit over. Using a suitable tool, insert it through
the labelled hole and lever it in order to pull the
release latch. The door lock will then be released
and the door will open.
Trouble Shooting
The table below describes the meaning of any
error messages that may appear on the
instrument display. If any fault is observed, stop
the centrifuge, disconnect from the mains power
supply and contact the Service Department of
Bibby Scientific Ltd. or the point of sale. Contact
details are given below.

Maintenance & Servicing
WARNING: Ensure the unit is
disconnected from the mains electricity
supply before attempting maintenance
or servicing.
Periodically clean the instrument using a damp
cloth and mild, neutral detergent solution. Do
not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents. Dry
the chamber after every use and clean with
neutral detergent if necessary. Ensure the shaft is
always clean to avoid imbalance during rotation.
Any repairs or replacement of parts MUST be
undertaken by suitably qualified personnel.
